The Value of Intention
Everything we do here at StudioLuxicon is with intention. My family see me up in my office working away- it could be working with a client, working on my website and branding, taking photos, 3D rendering designs of my own and organising my life- I have so many active diaries and notebooks on the go, it can be confusing, even for me.
So what am I doing? Moving from one activity to the other seemingly aimlessly or is it with intention? I like to think that everything that I do is part of a grand plan. In my interior design work, I help clients realise the perfect space for their needs and help make it a reality. I try to do this by asking a lot of questions, looking around for inspiration and really taking my clients on as a partner. Though I have a distinct personal style, it’s not for everyone, and I like to think that I listen hard to my clients.
In my work as an interior design coach, I help other interior designers build on the skills they already have, helping them build and scale their businesses. I focus on giving them practical skills in architectural visualisation through courses, branding - through content creation for web and social media. I think it’s important not only to teach about how to work as an interior designer but also to actually do the work with real clients- getting in the trenches so to speak and really testing out systems over the long haul- constantly improving them.
When I post the behind the scenes looks - through Instagram stories and this blog, I want you to see me in action- experimenting, making mistakes but also successes.
