I hope the following information will answer all your questions, but donβt hesitate to reach out if I can help you further.
-
A design consultation is a meeting, usually in person, on-site if possible between me and you, the potential client. We have chatted on the phone or over zoom before, so we can get right into discussing your space.
-
The Design Consultation usually lasts up to 2 hours.
-
It is best that the consultation occurs on site but we can meet at another location if the property is a new build or if overseas or interstate. I prefer that we meet in person as this is the most effective.
-
The Design Consultation costs AUD 600 plus GST. It is not redeemable for future interior design services. Expert knowledge that I have spent years learning and training to acquire deserves compensation. Every profession & trade charges consultation fees, from doctors and lawyers to plumbers. The design consultation fee is settled at the time of booking by bank transfer.
-
After the Design Consultation, we will be able to honestly assess if we are a good fit. You are under no obligation to book my services- you may decide to DIY! I am happy to help!
-
The design consultation is a working session. We can discuss anything you would like to focus on. In the initial discovery call, we will discuss the main goals of your project and decide how best to spend our 2-hour consultation.

There are many advantages of having a design consultation. Most importantly, you will get thoughtful, written advice, which will be handed to you at the conclusion of the meeting. Furthermore, I will be open and honest with you and am happy to advise on sourcing, building and budgeting etc If you choose to go in a different direction or want to DIY you will have solid actionable steps that you can carry out in the future.
The consultation allows me to gain a more thorough understanding of the scope of the project, and this will lead to a more accurate estimation of timelines and budgeting. This is incredibly useful as budget planning for larger projects is often difficult without a professional opinion.
You will discover that the Design Consultation offers unparalleled value.
